About this video
Deliverance (1972) is a landmark survival thriller directed by John Boorman, following four friends—Ed Gentry, Lewis Medlock, Bobby Trippe and Drew Ballinger—whose canoe trip into the remote Georgia wilderness turns into a harrowing struggle for survival. Starring Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty and Ronny Cox, the film explores fear, isolation, violence, friendship and the consequences of being pushed beyond familiar boundaries.
Adapted from James Dickey’s acclaimed novel, Deliverance combines wilderness adventure with intense psychological drama as the group’s recreational journey becomes a fight to escape the dangers of the backcountry. Its atmospheric river setting, escalating tension and morally challenging story have made it a notable example of 1970s American cinema.
This 1080p release presents Deliverance (1972), the classic John Boorman film featuring Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty and Ronny Cox. It is a compelling choice for viewers searching for a survival movie, wilderness thriller, psychological drama or classic 1970s film.
