The story follows Varun Batra (Akshay Kumar) and Deepti Batra (Kareena Kapoor Khan), a married couple who decide to seek medical assistance after struggling to conceive. They turn to in vitro fertilization (IVF), hoping that modern fertility treatment will finally help them fulfill their dream of having a child. However, a medical mix-up involving their sperm samples creates an unbelievable situation when another couple, Honey Batra (Diljit Dosanjh) and Monika Batra (Kiara Advani), discover that the same mistake has affected them too. With both couples sharing the same surname and facing an extraordinary pregnancy mix-up, their lives become intertwined in ways none of them could have imagined. What follows is a series of awkward encounters, hilarious arguments, and increasingly complicated situations that turn their journey to parenthood into a comedy of errors.

Beyond its funny premise, Good Newwz explores the emotional realities of pregnancy, infertility, marriage, and the meaning of family. As Varun, Deepti, Honey, and Monika navigate their unexpected circumstances, they must confront jealousy, personal insecurities, cultural differences, and the difficult question of what truly makes someone a parent. Akshay Kumar brings his signature comic timing to the role of Varun, while Kareena Kapoor Khan adds warmth and emotional depth as Deepti. Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani provide plenty of humor and charm as the other couple, creating an entertaining contrast in personalities and lifestyles. Directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, the film balances situational comedy with heartfelt moments, making it more than just a conventional Bollywood comedy.
