'Jailer 2' Super Show OTT release details: Rajinikanth's pre-release event to stream on THIS platform

The Jailer 2 promotional campaign is taking a different route. Sun Pictures has announced that the "Jailer 2 Super Show," the film's pre-release event, will stream exclusively on Sun NXT starting October 9, 2026. The official announcement was shared across the studio's social media accounts: "Superstar's Super Show! Get ready for #Jailer2 'Super Show'. Streaming from October 9th, only on @sunnxt."

The Super Show will feature Rajinikanth alongside director Nelson Dilipkumar, producer Kalanithi Maran, composer Anirudh Ravichander, and cast members including Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, and Ramya Krishnan. Rajinikanth himself explained why the team opted to skip a traditional large-scale audio launch. He said the producers felt that holding a grand audio event had become "too routine" and wanted to try something different. Instead, the team conducted individual interviews with cast and crew, and chose to present the music through a concert format rather than a conventional audio release.

The Super Show follows the "Jailer 2 RAVE" concert event held on September 30 for a select invited audience, which is also available to stream on Sun NXT. The full soundtrack comprises 12 tracks, including "Hukum Reloaded," "Bindaas," and the "Jailer Theme."

Additionally, a three-hour interview with Rajinikanth is expected to air on Sun TV on October 11.

Jailer 2 is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. The film is set for a global theatrical release on October 15, 2026.
