On the day of her first full moon transformation, Maddy joins her school on a trip to the old Lindisfarne Island, which is known for legends about a ghost dog that attacks anyone wandering alone late at night. When Rhydian feigns an injury so he can stay on the island that night, the whole class becomes trapped and Maddy and Rhydian must plan how to sneak away before the moon rises.
