The Sentinels (2025), also known as Les Sentinelles, is a French sci-fi war series set during an alternate World War I. In 1915, French soldier Gabriel Ferraud is wounded in WWI. After rescue and evacuation, army officials inform him he's been chosen for the ultra-secret Sentinels program.
Gabriel must join the Sentinels Brigade if he wants to see his family again, who think he is dead. After the attack on the laboratory, an investigation is launched, which does not please Colonel Mirreau, head of the Sentinels program.
Marthe's blood tests show Ferraud isn't processing the serum and Djibouti's condition worsens. Gabriel, aggressive on his first mission, explains his experience. Mirreau interrogates Grüber about German serum research.
The General Staff orders the Sentinels to eliminate a German superhuman who has become their main enemy. Unaware of what awaits them, they pursue the Übermensch, an adversary with immeasurable powers.
Irène probes a Mirreau story tied to state secrets. At cabaret "Les Damnés," the Baron learns Gisèle fled. After losing a fellow soldier, Gabriel rushes back to Paris to reunite with his wife and son.
The Sentinels race to rescue Mazauric, creator of Dyxenal research, before he reveals French serum secrets to the Germans. Meanwhile, German spy Diane visits the Baron at Les Damnés, offering to locate Gisèle in exchange for assistance.
De Clermont is badly hurt by German soldiers while heading to rescue Mazauric. Djibouti and Gabriel press on alone, unknowingly nearing the Übermensch. Meanwhile, Marthe tests the combat serum on Aria, a condemned woman.
Irène's investigation has become too dangerous and must be stopped. Meanwhile, Gabriel and Djibouti, prisoners of the Germans, receive help. The Sentinels will have to face the Übermensch, their most formidable enemy.
